Hot day over here in W.A., 42 C (107 F) officially, when I checked the meteorology site a little while ago. I went out onto my back verandah where I have a thermometer in the shade on my back table. The thermometer goes up to 45, and it was sitting on max, so it may have been even more than 45 C.. Systems seem to be ok though, fish are very active, and temperatures range varies a bit in the different sysytems. The hottest is 35 degrees in the barrel system.. Tropical fish are very active, yabbies aren't dead yet, but I don't think they are as happy.. Silver perch in the large system are at a more comfortable 30 degrees, and very hungry... They're forcasting 42 again tomorrow so I'll be interested to see how much the barrel system warms up after two very hot days. |

Saw the temps on the news and thought of you people out west, hope everything survives - fish, veggies and APers enjoy a cold one

C'mon, we're counting on you Perth guys to keep the temps down - what you get today, we get in Adelaide in 3 days time, unless it's good weather, then it slips south and does nuthin' for nobody. If I see a lousy forecast on one channel, I switch to the other commercial channel and check theirs - it keeps the bastards honest !! |

I must be the only person in Adelaide hoping it comes our way, my barra tanks are down to 22.8 tonight, will be 20 by tomorrow, and they are not as happy as I would like. Bring on the heat I say! |
