If you have been following my build Thread.. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=10640 I'm trying to Work out how many Fish I can safely handle in my system.. Main Tank - 5800lt of Fish tank.. 800-900lt Settlement tank.. 1000-2000lt of Sump 7600lt-8650lt of Fish Tank.. 3000lt of Media Bed 800lt of Raft Bed.. 100lt of Moving Media filter.. If I went With a certain person from up north I could stock numbers from 380 - 432 Fish.. But no I don't think that is correct.. If I went off the amount of Growbed capacity I have I think the Figure is 114kg of Fish.. I think I have safety system that will help with my Load.. Moving Media Filter.. So are the figures I have put forward right..? 100-150 trout..? Juergen |

Yea Id make sure you have a cycled and reasonably established system before throwing in 300-400 fish snow. Maybe start out with 50 fingerlings and ride that out for a while, you'll prob find you need to fine tune a bunch of things and when your fully happy with the system go for another 50 or so and just keep monitoring as you go. Stock slow and take it slow Ive always said, its a lot easier coping a small loss than a major. You want to aim on getting your system established ready for trout season cause those guys feed like mad and will push amm levels through the roof |
