Tonite at 11:05 this site registered its greatest ever number of users online at one time... 45.... Of those online at that time ... 38 were "Guests".... word must be spreading |

Probably some sort of bot thing - ie not real users. The 38 guests sounds a bit strange. |

thought so myself VB, but most were showing as reading different posts, postings messages etc... definitely not showing as "gogglebots" or msn |

Definitely were showing as "Guest"s not ... (38 x) .... 1(Bot) or googlebot or MSN.... most accessing different areas of the forum |

the bots (I think) are searching on behalf of search engines (ie googlebot is Google's robot/program) I'm not sure how they can post messages or pm's. |

As discussed, i've never seen a post or PM from a "bot" I think once the "bot" arrives at the posting page it shows up as "posting a message" even though it can't, much the same way that i'll show up as posting a message when typing this. Authorised search engines have a "pass" to wander the forum so they can properly index pages |
