This weekends forecast is 27 on Saturday and 33 on Sunday.

Hopefully it won't cause too many problems for the people who have Trout.

I had temp probs last weekend and it was only 25 or so. Gonna have to think outside the square. Ice and tinfoil are the best ideas so far.

Well might need to harvest some fish on Saturday then.

If we can make it thru the weekend there is some more favorable weather on the other side.

Monday is meant to be 22 with Tuesday and Wednesday 21.

I was going to be replanting my growbeds this weekend. Instead I think I will remove most/all plants which require removing, cover grow beds with shade cloth to stop the sun from heating up the media and set the system to run constant flood. Will add ice if needed.

Question for the experts: If someones water temperature becomes too hot and they wish to add ice to attempt to cool it down, is the ice you can get from the local service station or bottle shop ok to just add to the water or do you suggest to just leave it in the plastic bag?

Good question re the ice Arbe, no clue here. I guess its hard to know where the water was sourced from to make it eh. But the amount of ice you put in the volume of water would be small, like the top ups from the town supply that are only small.
So I guess servo ice would be ok, :dontknow:

I thought most ice nowadays was suitable for human consumption, so I'd think it should be safe in a system..

You would need a hell of a lot of ice to make a difference to water temps in a 5000L tank.
