I have a 3000 litre tank with about 15 - 20 Silver Perch. They are about 400mm long. I would like to add some more fish or crustaceans to the tank to bring them on before I harvest the fish. Otherwise I won't have anything in the tank to make my plants grow. I don't like Marrron any more because they escape and kill each other, ditto Barra's Any suggestions. If I put tabby's in there will they get eaten? John |

I keep about 15 Yabbies in the bottom of my tank... thats if my trout havnt eaten them... i see them popping around every now & then, They keep the tank very clean... Iv jut got about 20 Pieces of PVC Pipe in the bottom of the tank for them to hide in. you could try some Catfish or somthing as well? And why harvest the Silverperch with summer on approach, just hook out some big ones to eat and possibly even throw in another batch of SP fingerling try get a series of sizes of silver perch then you can just keep adding to it yearly and have somthing to eat all the time |

Thats what i done, brang them home, Put them in a 4ppt salted tub of water for a few days, changed it, done it again then threw them in the tank.No probs at all
