hi all,

as some of you already know, today i head off in search of specimens to enter the system. i will be focusing on natives of the south west which is where i'll be travelling. i will be gone for 5 days returning tuesday. for those not in the know today is the commencement of marron season here.

i will take my digicam and attempt to capture the moment for others here to share in. i have been planning this for a long time and finally its entering fruition. the systems up and i'm ready to go.

everyone wish me luck that i find what i am looking for. i'll see you when i'm back.

keep safe everyone.

I remember the first time I saw that  I didn't know what the deckie was on about. He saw the bananas in a hamper, shrieked, and hurled them off the boat.

Apparently bananas are VERY bad luck on a boat

On this particular trip (game fishing) we had bad weather (was always like that even before the bananas), the marlin got bitten nearly in two by a shark just before it was back to the boat... BUT everyone was safe, my brother caught his marlin, he got his picture in the paper, everything was fine... but it was so rough we couldn't eat the great food that was provided (or the bananas that went sailing away)

It was amazing to be sitting inside the cabin of the boat, looking out of the window at the shark swimming ABOVE the boat  (the look on Mum's face as I said it :confused2: )
