*Duchess* our aquaponic pig ( or should I say one of our surplus produce disposal units) has given birth to nine live piglets. The midwife WD was not present at the birth but had a nice surprise at 5am (having been up and down most of the night-checking on her!) Mother and infants doing well. Photos to follow!  OH |

EB the one on the left is Duchess - her mother Princess is due to farrow 15th October but she is like a barrage balloon already! and yes Rup the hens are laying! We had bacon for lunch yesterday - magnificent! with eggs of course! Attachment:
