bugger, ill have 100 assignments and 50 exams to mark and have to report as well.. and ive got 10 days left to do it!

And poeple say teachers dont work... now do the math... im sure parents would want to know we are giving their child feedback... so lets say just 5 minutes per assignment...

Thats 500 minutes and another 200 minutes for exams... so thats 700 minutes... add another 5 hours (being kind) for reporting.... lemmie do the math.. 700 / 60 = 11.6 hours + 5 more hours reporting....

Now lets get real.. some assignments take 15 minutes not 5 minutes...

now take that into account.... Yea.. i DONT get paid enough when NONE of that is done during school hours and ALL of that is done in me and my families time.... Thats time I DONT get with my family

Yeah, like my 3 1/2 year old daughter understands when daddy constantly says "im busy darling, cant come and play.. or when i do and get constantly distracted that 11.5 hours + turns into 20 hours....

Teachers get screwed man... Aquaponics is Therapy!

:rr:

1)bring up the emoticons
2) right click on :rr:
3) select "save image as"
4) put it somewhere you can easily get it - it should save as 33*28 and be 286 bytes
5)click on profile - top of page
6)scroll down to bottom of your profile page and click on browse
7) I think you need to enter your password again (top of page) before hitting "submit"
8)if this doesn't work log the error message (then complain to Steve )

I was going to change mine to :rr: and make sure it worked but I couldn't find where I put my "mature" avatar to revert back

:rr: you wont get any argument here from me about the value of teachers...

For what we expect from them, both educationally and socially in terms of producing viable and productive members of society I think that teachers are the most undervalued and under-payed profession.

Particularly since we have abandoned the responsibility of so much that we as parents used to do to impart social values, behaviours and norms to our children.

Here here, PREACH IT BROTHER!!!!
I just spent 1 and a half hours chatting to ONE parent so as to try sort his son's social problems out... hmmm, lets see, what SUBJECT does that fall into???... what, none that I am payed to teach... social work you say... so whaen was I employed as a social worker again...hmmm...
we do it purely because we care and want to do a good job... it wears at us and steals precious time from our kids etc - NOT TO MENTION FROM AP... BUT i DO LIKE INTERACTING WITH THE KIDS ETC...

SO THOSE 4 HOLIDAYS A YEAR ARE NOT HOLIDAYS, iT'S STRESS LEAVE!!!
