No news is good news. The TV is silent on the matter.

Tomorrow was tipped to be a dangerous day.. but I think the forecast, at least windspeed, has been revised down a bit....

Still concerns for Warberton I believe...

saw ?John? from Glenwaters yesterday. He was really concerned we'd get a downpour that would wash all the ash into our water supply and of course his dams. Of course, what happened today but a torrential downpour :-(
Almost prophetic :-(
Ash when dissolved into water can buffer as high as 14 pH!!!!!!!!
Really hope all our farmers and anybody else with water collection are not badly harmed by this.

I haven't heard from him as yet. He wasn't going to have internet where he was holing up. If the fires went past his place, he could have no internet still.
I don't think the fire was so ferocious that the coppers will keep the area cordoned off whilst they search for victims, so I imagine that whilst many fires are still burning, that he'd be home.

He logged in at 2:00am this morning, so I expect that tells us he's alive and well at any rate.

Yep we are back. The fire got to within 4km of our house and that was on the first day and since then it has been a bit of an anti climax, not that I'm complaining. We have been officially out of danger for about two weeks but I've got two excuses for not posting earlier.

First is that I havn't really been home much. First week back I wasn't because I was in the Royal Childrens with my son. Got him out and home on Friday but then on that night we had to go into the Ballarat base where he stayed for the weekend. Sunday he was perfectly fine so we took him home on Monday only to find my self in an Ambulance late that night heading down to the Royal Childrens again.

Got back home again on Thursday but I havn't posted since then because of my second excuse. Namely I've been busy :tongue2: Photos will be posted shortly.
