Oh and another thing. All Americans wishing to imigrate to Australia must watch "the Castle" and not that one about the military program.

Farouk: He say plane fly overhead, drop value. In Beirut, plane fly over, drop bomb. I like these planes.

Darryl Kerrigan: Dad, he reckons powerlines are a reminder of man's ability to generate electricity.

The Pool room

And thats all i have to say watch it for yourself

Some cities do get kangaroos in your backyards. I live in Perth and have the opportunity to go horse riding in the swan valley (suburb of perth)occasionaly. The other week, while riding on a road, we had a roo jump out in front of us. Sure enough this is near the foothills and surrounded by 10+ acre properties, but it is still the suburbs and less than 25kms from the cbd.

I concur with the comments about lack of electronics equipment in oz, lack of tv and technology in general. how long did it take to get ADSL popular... fibre to the node - what a joke - who wants a 6mbs connection when you can get 24mbs cheaper from non govt run telco...

Personally I think, slow technology is a good thing, technology is why we are turning into Americans. The age of iPods, emo's and absolute rubbish on TV... I have to hear the US trash talk from the kids at work, even my brothers speak like shit... F's and M-F's. That and the endless quotes from simpsons, family guy and south park, they have lost the ability of original thought...

That's Hollywood trash talk, not US trash talk. I accept no responsibility for Hollywood; they paint a rather skewed version of life, and are a negative influence on the US as well as anyone else who chooses to view their drivel.

Also, please don't blame technology. People make decisions to use technology, for better or worse. Blaming technology is like the guy who is up on murder charges saying "No man, it wasn't me. The gun did it."

TimC: I would describe aquaponics as technology. You're saying it's bad?
