If you're interested in preparing yourself for Peak Oil, I've recently had a little article published on the website of the Australian Association for the Study of Peak Oil & Gas. It looks at technologies and lifestyle changes that are available to us in order to reduce our dependence on oil. The links are a bit specific to South Australia but the concepts are generally applicable anywhere.
