Beautiful country up in the Misty Mountains where the turbines are...only about 25 minutes drive from where we are currently.

The property which the turbines pictured are on was up for sale last I heard...comes with a cafe, house and lots of other stuff as I recall.

Not sure if the turbines were included or not.

Hope you enjoyed your holiday up this way Jaymie.

Jez, where are you? We were on our way out to visit friends at Mt Garnet.

In Atherton ATM Jaymie, but we're in the process of moving out to Georgetown way - about two hours past Mt Garnet on the way to the gulf.

I spent a week in atherton table lands once a long time ago. Spent most of the time sleeping on the floor of an aborignal church in Mareeba. Quite and experience I really liked the are. Minus that the tallest mountain in QLD? is really just a big hill. But then I come from the rockys.

Jez, I grew up in Cairns and I know the Tablelands pretty well. We just spent 5 days at Yungaburra at the Folk Festival.

Hehe...yeah, I know what you mean jtjf...then again, some of the 'bigger' mountains in QLD seem like little hills...you could probably build the average QLD mountain with a decent tractor in a day or two! ;-)

I'm ashamed to say that after two years up here we haven't made it to the Folk Festival Jaymie - too busy working. We'll probably remedy that next year.

Hope you had a good time, I hear it's pretty good.
