I am new to this forum ,but not new to getting results on the web.
Use a URL with your keyword as the URL is the best for traffic if you can get it. If your target traffic is AU the go for .com.au If not available go for .com then . net.au ect. If you want to get traffic from your name then go with your name.com.au and link it to your keyword.com.au site.
I have had best results in AU with .com.au and tested them up against .net.au but with the same key word as the URL.
What I have found so far is that i can get the .com.au ranked No1 with far less link building than the .net.au
Not to say the .net.au will not get No 1 but it takes more work and $$$$, just my observations so far.
I know you all may say that Im only a Plumber but Plumbing in Sydney and Rainwater tanks are very competitive and what I have learned in last 2 years as far as SEO goes has got me to the top of google for many of the most targeted keywords.
