SS, play on it mate! Get the babysitters to bring all your tools and gadgets INSIDE for you to play with. :) I hear laughter is good for recovery, every time your minder brings you something say "oh and i forgot, can you bring me the XYZ too?" ;)

Thanks for that EllKayBee, the inst. manual has got 15A fuse on it.
Would allow for a pretty big inrush current.

The supply is not a problem, just had no time to finish it before the surgery.
Need a supply with power cord, not a plugpack to plug into a plugin timmer.

FF, the solenoid draws 0.5A holding current + the actuator + few mA
for the delay board.
12VDC 2.5 to 4Amps should do.

Should have some.
Got even two 12VAC 15A sealed trafos for halogen lights.
Using one for a small air compressor.

Got to see my backyard today and the inside of the garage as well.
All's pretty well. May start doing something soon, when nobody's around.
to babysit me.

Cheers all, Steve S

Yes, thanks very much!

We need to twist your arm a litle and get some silver perch in there soon! Plenty of duckweed there for them to graze on :)

Had pre-admission appointment for next operation Wednesday last week
with operation scheduled for 06-03 but were later moved to 22-03-'08.
Then last Tuesday, day before the pre-admission got call to come in for operation on Monday 25-02.

Did go as well as the previous one, yesterday got home,
getting around as well as could be hoped for, just on one crutch already.

Will take few days before I am ready to negotiate the steps down to the backyard.
By that time my DW will be in Tokio for a nephew's wedding
so will have nearly two weeks to myself

2231 new posts, ho hope of catching up

Excellent, better than expected, been back to work for two weeks before the second operation,

maybe some of them, but certainly not if the bearer is already over 60

waking up after the operation have found my first scar highlighted in purple, stitch by stitch

the surgeon told me that he wanted to make the second one a matching pair
