My wife really wants me to make peanut butter gelato, but I can't stand the stuff. I think it's because my brother really liked it growing up, I decided early to hate even the smell of it.

Make it and I'll drive for 8 hours to taste it.. Love is peanut butter.

I get it. My brother overplayed Hotel California by the Eagles. I can't stand that song either.

I shall make it this weekend to put you to the test!

Google maps says it's 6.5 hours to here, so 13 hour round trip for some ice cream!

Why is our government spending a fortune advertising on tv, the changes they have made to the budget?

Small business knows what changes have been made, it's just advertising for yourselves thinly veiled as public announcements. I don't want to be paying for a government I didn't vote for, to tell me they think they're good.... grrrrrrr

But whats the alternative, the previous lot did the same thing. None of them are ever wrong, How they can sleep at night peacefully is totally beyond me

Some of them are so sure what they are doing is right, beyond a doubt. The others are just power hungry and will make whatever deals to get them in there.

The surprising thing is that the Greens seem to be voice of reason lately, they are trying to shake their hippy/anti vaccination image. I still always vote in the large ballot area, leaving libs and labour dead last.

OK, If I'm having a vent about the government...

I'm struggling with this one....

Desperate people pay to get onto boats to try and get to Australia. We condemn the people running the boats as illegal despicable people smugglers who must be stopped any way possible. So now we stop them in the middle of the ocean, we pay them a stack more money to turn around and go back?

Thats far worse than those paying the people smugglers to try and get here, they are desperate, we are a first world country and we're paying criminals to make a problem go away? Man where does it stop if you're willing to do things like that..

About 30 years (when political correctness wasn't even a dream) ago a couple of Australian navy patrol boats were known to have approached boats coming in from S E Asia....."Stop or we fire!" "I repeat...stop or we fire!" BOOM BOOM " Oh bugga you dont understand english, do you? Opps"

but yes the govmint is in a hard place, dont know what the answer is.

Maybe you could put little signs up that say Australia and point some place else

like to California, it would take their minds off the Mexicans

As a californian, I have no problem with Mexicans coming here to work. They do jobs most Americans don't want to do. The only unfortunate thing is that they are an easier group for employers to exploit. It is that very exploitability the causes companies to illegally bus in Mexican workers. These poor workers are subject to conditions worse than slavery. At least slave owners had a vested intersting in keeping their slaves healthy and alive.

Who would have thought worse things than slavery.

I like your little signs idea scotty435! Just set them up in a really wide loop and once you get enough smuggler boats in there you can call it a regatta haha!
