I have received the EM (Effective Micro organisms) solution to try in my fish tanks



I have been trying to grow duck weed in a section of a sump filter, with not much luck, because of algae smothering the roots, but after adding the EM solution the algae has stopped growing and the duck weed is starting to take off.




I added the EM solution about 10 days ago and at this stage everthing looks positive, I will now try some in the AP system.

You can buy commercial EM or make your own, to make your own you catch indigenous microbes including lacto bacillus using rice rinse water, you then make this in to bokashi and then use the bokashi to make the liquid preparation - ekihi.
