Use your computers image resizing tool, depending on what system your are using this may be done a number of different ways. Make them 800x600. I sorted those ones for you.

Thanks Charlie... seems to be a rash of problems about photo sizing lately...

And especially with peeps linking to "photobucket"....

Could people please resize their pictures to 800x600... and attach them to a post...

Linking to photobucket itself causes possible problems if the link is down, or later withdrawn/broken...

I think the problem is more and more have phones with 5MP or 8MP cameras in them - they make HUGE pics at the normal resolution - I think 5MP is something like 35mcx25cm at normal DPI. (that means if you just send the photo to a printer without doing anything to it, the natural size of 5 million pixels is 35cm x 25 cm. So when you post it to the screen, which is (say) 1920 x 1080, you get something almost double the size of the screen)

The size is great for when you are printing to a fixed size photo - shrinking it down to fit helps make the picture very sharp and clear - on a screen it just pisses people off as they have their pages resized to fit the giant pics.

I use Irfanview - free to download and if you also download the free plugins, it is 1 step to resize and then you can use the 'Save for Web' plugin to reduce the file size as well so BYAP doesn't have to host multi-megabyte files when you upload them. Typically a 3MB - 4MB 5MP file will reduce to maybe 80kB and still be fully resolved for screen.
