SG..... make sure you insert "your" mail address.....

ADSL users are typically "bigpond.net.au"..... but wireless and dialup could be "bigpond.com" or even "bigpond.com.au"

Use whatever you have been using for webmail

Savage, my tip is to switch over to Mozilla Thunderbird
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/thunderbird/

Its free, you will support the open-source community and it crashes a lot less than outlook... trust me.. It has built in spam and anti-phishing filters...

AND Rup... I thought you of all people would be using Firefox by now... Or at least IE7, that IE6 is nasty.....

It wasMailwasher that SG was trying to configure Tim C.....

IE7 ?????.... why...... memory hog, doesn't release memory when you open/close multiple tabs.... performance dog......

What for "tabs"???.... if I want tabs I'll go Mozilla..... myself I'd rather have a full window(s) that I can open/close and alt/tab through at leisure without my allocated memory going through the roof and eventually hanging my system.

IE7... PUKE!

I only suggested Thunderbird because 1. You don't need Outlook, which is a piece of junk and 2. You don't need two programs running to check your email... Kills two birds with one stone....

Well go to Mozilla Firefox then... much better than IE6. I had to do a search for IE the other week because I have deleted all the short cuts. I wouldn't trust any IE...

In all honesty I havn't had the chance to look at Thunderbird yet Tim C...

Know it's been rocketing up the download charts....

Does it have the same ability as mailwasher to scan your mail on the ISP mailbox, delete and/or bounce spam mails and/or mark and blacklist individual or entire url addresses before automatically starting the mail program and downloading allowed messages?

I downloaded Thunderbird ages ago but I wasn't able to set it up.

Might have another go though since I have a better idea what I'm trying to do. :D

I specifically wanted to run my BigPond e-mail through Mail Washer 'cause I'm getting a lot of spam in it and I want to bounce it back to were it came from.
