Poultry can't seem to get enough Azolla. Here are a couple of links to videos showing how keen they are on the stuff. Here Muscovy ducks and chooks are scoffing it and here ducklings are having a go.
The ganders are so protective of the ducklings* that they even harass the mother duck and force her to keep her distance from her own brood. Note the wings on the mother duck - she looks like the Flying Nun!


* For interest sake, Muscovy ducks are more closely related to geese than to real ducks.
