Agree completely - which is why during the height of the drought we were looking on with stunned amazement at the amount of massive citrus and grape plantations that were being planted only 100kms from here in dryland farming country, and thinking how unsustainable they were... and wondering where the hell they were getting all the water from... and whos arse they were kissing to get it! :bootyshake:

You aint kidding. We had dam levels of about 50% mid year, now they're all overflowing like buggery.

I have been keeping an eye on these stats for the last couple of years:

Every other year we have like 2 months of average rainfal and all other months well below... this year the trend is completely reversed. Oh and by the way, it's the 10th of december and we've received 200mm this month....
