You can take the 'red pill' and read the article or take the 'blue pill' and read another post
The article can be viewed here

Can someone explain something to me?

Exxonmobil exec disagrees with peak oil.
States there are 3 trillion litres of recoverable oil and we have used 1 trillion (and this is the optimistic side)
so we have .5 trillion litres before we reach the half way point.
We have extracted 33% of our recoverable oil in under 100 years
Oil demand is the highest it has ever been and will only increase
Peak oil is about the half way mark

He has stated most of these points (the others are historical reference) yet he DISAGREES with peak oil? WTF?

Have i missed something? He's taling like the uninformed, as if it about when we extract the last drop.

I must have missed something.

Now this sounds like such a good idea that it will be ignored

Oil companies don't use the phrase "Peak Oil". They WILL say "We have seen the end of the era of cheap oil." It means almost the same thing - but it is less scary. I guess they are trying to avoid silly behavior. I loved your Cuba post - it proves that panic is not called for. Sensible rational thought is what we need.
