Definitely dodged a bullet I think with the insulation.

At the time I didn't realise that there was a government scheme until my parents told me to investigate. I decided not to bother as I had done my parents house and my house prior.

Many of the brochures I got just made me think "SCAM"

We had it done thru the scheme and it all went well, we got up and checked their work before we let them go and it was fine.
I guess we were lucky.

It seems a shame that as soon as a government tries to do the right thing by the environment, these *sigh* installation people jump on the band wagon and try to rip us and Govt off, this is tax payers money that is being ripped off. We should get angry at the installers, they are at fault too!

Same goes for contractors building our new schools, the rippoff artists should be made to account for it!

I recently had a grey water system installed and it works fine but do you think I could get the certificate required from the plumber so I could claim my rebvate? Ha!
Bastard plumber just would not give it, kept fobbing me off. I had to ring the department, the fair trading org, water company, anyone I could think of.
Evertually around 2 monthys later I got it. But I wouldn't have if I hadn't made threats.

such a shame.
