I found a post on how to ad piccies...

http://backyardaquaponics.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=275

You can also ad pictures by using an external albumn storage site (such as Photobucket, Webshots etc...). If you'd like more info on that particular method, PM me! I'm more than willing to assist! :D

Thanks for the replies,

To answer some questions...

Our panels are Mitsubishi Thin Film 100w and we have 20 of them, they produce about 10KWh per day at the moment Which equals about $2.00 and 4kg of CO2 gases saved.

We are in Upper Sturt, just behind Belair National Park, so Monya if you are around give me a message with your phone number and I will ring and arrange a time for you to visit. Also I have 30 Silver Perch thaty I purchased from a man called Robin Moseby (spelling?) who has a shop in Norwood area in SA (found him via trading post).

PK, Port Willunga is a very nice place and peacful, generally Adelaide is a nice place, very quiet ( I grew up in Sydney) and sometimes a little frustratingly Adelaide!.

And hopefully there will be a photoa attached, thanks for the tips. The photo is about a month ago, just before the AP installation, I will take some photo's of the system this week. The fish are now living in the tank seen at the end of the verandah. It is now in the sun on the left of the path. The plants live where the tank is in the picture. The cage on the right of the verandah is for my pythons.

Take care everyone, I hope you are enjoying the spring as much as I am.

Yes Steve,

If only I could have paid in Bikky's, I'd be an expert baker.

The entire system cost was 15K, that was only two months ago.

I look at it from the point of view that it's like paying my bills in advance, because eventually it will have paid itself back and the electricity will keep flowing well past that day.

Plus there is the benifit to the environment.

Check out Origin Energy's new manufacturing plant in Adelaide, soon my sytem will be an expensive dinosaur in comparison to what is available, but someone has to buy the old ones so the companies profit and invest in the future. If you want to do somthing environmental straight away, buy your electricity from a company that invests in the future.

It feels good to be making electricty, and if the electricity companies give me the shit's I will buy some batteries and disconnect from the grid. I have the power to do so (pardon the pun).

Both my wife and I draw our incomes from working with the natural environment, so it only makes sense to invest back into it.
