"It seems like to me that using lots of concrete you wind up with a major lack of insulation. Have you heard of papercrete?"

Hey guys substitute volcanic rocks for sand in Ferrocement ;) you all owe me cookies just google that word you'll understand
ghetto site
http://ferrocement.com/Page_1/english.html

I'm going to build my entire compound out of this stuff with rain water harvesting and passive solar power/cooking/cooling/heating throw in a green house off one side with an ap system and you win the game ;) going to pretty much build a multi dome house with a solar tower on top painted black to draw up the air from pipes below. going to put a wind turbine in the tube and mount solar panels and my com dish up there, toss in some grey water, a compost toilet some sunshine and a good rain and omni house is born! :D

Also plain and simple plastic friggen rocks! i <3 the stuff(because of uses like this). grab it while you can and grow some 15 ft tall tomato vines before they burn up all the yummy oil. having a material that doesn't degrade or decompose has it's advantages when used for good ;)
