We’ve had a few scary weeks before Christmas where we are. The number and scale of the fires is beyond comprehension.
Not sure how accurate this graphic is - i thought the Northern Territory (at the top middle) was getting lots of rain but maybe it is.

The map is accurate, but there are some comments from the fire fighting authorities about the fact that when you zoom out, the icons stay the same size.
It's a little deceiving.

The fact is we are running out of Kangaroo Island, but the national map is a little deceptive.
But please, please, please, keep sending money.
I know people there, and they are running out of room to run to.
The community, and the Australian Army are doing some good work lifting people from the beaches where they are seeking last resort positions.
