Yeah, and Occy straps.... that would have worked. I also had bonnet space too, but kinda needed to see out the windscreen.

On the first trip we saw 4 cop cars, 3 more than I have seen in a week. We were soooo careful driving back the second time...

say a bloke at the plumbing store pick up a couple of 6m lengths of 50mm DWV the other day.
In a Corolla!!!
He rested it on the left mirror, tied it to the b pillar, and then anchored the front to the grille and the back to the towbar!!!!!!!!
I would have loved to see the look on the Coppa's face if he got pulled over!

If I ever buy pipe I KNOW I need to cut in half to fit in the car, I always make sure it has the wider opening at one end, therefore I can glue it back together if I need the full 6 metres without having to buy a coupler...

hehehe, when I bought mine, i got a mate over. We walked to the plumbing store and carried it 3 ks home on our shoulders. 1 advantage to living near to the industrial sector, but just far enough not to hear it or see it.

I was going to ask whether the roof rack was attached using 100mph tape.
