Buying shirts is the hard part - and you have to buy ties in pairs or it looks stupid. Eating soup can be really messy, and my dad used to think it was a great joke to buy me just one soft-serve icecream !

interestingly there was a doco on the other day about which i caught a few minutes of. from what i saw it was about the american military dropping chemicals onto innocent civilians. now many of them are still very ill. it seemed to pretty much sums up what your talking about niloc. did anyone happen to catch the doco?

it always baffled me that we have laws that tell us what we can and cannot put into our own bodies, yet there are laws that allow people to harm others with chemicals unbeknown to them. lets face it the synthetic chemical industry is a very powerful entity and controls the world. in the process its devouring us all.

hey all,

just wanted to add another note. the stability of a mature ap system relies on a constantly high DO level. this is due to the biological oxygen demand. zooplankton ect all chew through DO levels. for this reason a mature ap system that looses power may be worse for the fish then a bio-filtered system that has water changes regularly. so basically an anaerobic ap system could reach havoc with the fish. especially if the fish have underlying health conditions. if the DO level doesn't kill them then the condition probably with. from what i have read most problems with disease are stress related.

for this reason backup air pumps are essential, especially in mature systems.

once again these are all just thoughts based on a little observation and research. time will tell how true this is.

Greed/economics the use of gm crops and pesticides in large scale farming enterprises with an eye on the mighty dollar for an equitable return is not balanced and carries a higher price we will all pay when the balance is restored be it famin or what ever may come.

I was reading book that talked about the untold true expense of cheap commercial products and food. To sum it up the price is higher than anyone is willing to pay. Getting that extra dollar is more important to big business that any number of peoples lives. Well.. I had better not get started..

I also think almost everything man makes winds up being harmful is some small way. Before the industrial revolution cancer hardly existed. Heck, when I grew up no kids had cancer and bad health problems. Now almost every one knows a kid with cancer or ongoing health problems. Hmmm gota wonder about that.. As a side note a study showed that people are more unhappy now than 100 years ago; even with all the modern conveniences that claim to make life better for us. Me, Im most happy when grazing through my garden (dirt/hydro/AP). To bad I cant make a living with it.. ..Hmm... Living.. What does it take to live happily? Seems to me that we are all trained to be consumers and not producers... Ahh.. now Im rambling on...

I have heard of this. Seems they do it here in the states all the time. Without any testing or approval from us. Check out the super toxic chemical they add to our jet fuel now! Things like ethylene dibromide... WTF m8! I cant imagine how much of that is used in the states people travel on planes here like people in London use the train. Gee lets fly across the country and go shopping....
