Sorry to hear about that mate, sucks that some moron can turn up and wreak havoc in a matter minutes and be to stupid to even realize what they have done. Hope you get a good bit of compensation out of it, I know that doesn't help replace all the time and effort that went into getting where they were before today but what can you do apart from keep moving forward.

It is rather strange to hear that fuses were pulled to disconnect power, especially when they could just be pushed back in to restore power to the house/system (Didn't read if it was actually 'back on'). It just dosent sound right to me man.

It's not uncommon, around here anyway... for them to pull the main fuse (there was three of them in the box, and three meters???)....when a place is vacated ... and as their records don't show the house as a separate service, I guess they thought it was the easiest way to isolate the property from the adjoining business...

If anyone from "integral/origin" or "endeavour" turns up in the next few days.. with a reconnction order.... I'll slap them around the head with a dead fish... well 200 of them actually.... rubbish collection isn't until Thursday morning (thankfully it's not longer)...

I just don't get how they didn't knock on one of three front sliding doors, or see through one of the windows.... and notice the place was occupied... even if they didn't go around the back and see the washing, tank, aerator etc...

Man that sucks. I immediately thought some one must seriously have it in for you and pulled the fuses because it doesn't sound right for a power company to pull fuses to me either. If I lived near ya rup I'd be around there helping ya gut and clean all 200kg then empty all the red meat out of my freezer to store them.

They're the big fat "mains" fuses Bundy.... and the few "enemies" I might have.. all live further north.. interstate....

I've only got a small freezer/fridge combo unit... and there's already about 40 vacumm packed fish in there... just isn't room for another 200...

I'm sure it's just a cockup between the two "suppliers".... so much for privitisation and deregulation...

The same crap happens around town with internet providers... who ultimately have to liase/wait for Telstra techos to give them access to the exchange... and/or for any line repairs...

Sorry to hear about your Loss of Fish..

I know I would be very Pissed..

To make a Claim..
I think you Will need a Few Photo's of several Different Fish to Prove the weight or just load all the fish in a large container and grab 1 photo of the container's empty weight and a second of the container Full..

Or you Could just find out their Address and Drop of 100+KG of Stinking Fish in their Reception area.. They might then get the idea that they screwed up..

you definitely have the rights to a small claims..

Already have a range of photos Juergen... and will get a few of the overall weight tomorrow when I can organise a container and scale that'll weigh them in total...

My fear is that each company will just pass the buck to the other... and neither admit to any liability...

OMG that is awful.

I guess that was fortunate to find a place with only 4 days notice. Even if it was not satisfactory and have to be repaired before real occupancy. At least you found something. I am glad to see you back online as well.
I can explain the phone and internet mess as I am using my system that way. I had a land line we call them here. Permanent line to house. I had DSL line activated for the computer system. Later I had the land line number discontinued but still have the DSL service on the line. We use cell phones now instead of the land line. They had started adding extra charges all the time driving up the bill for no reason so we cut them off. That showed them I did not like what they were doing.
