Yesterday as I was working on the nursery bed some Elders (kinda funny since they both looked to be about 19) from the Mormon church showed up. I think their plans were to attempt a few more conversion to their church but instead, I started converting them to the idea of Aquaponics. They seemed pretty interested in that and some how managed to go away without spending any time trying to convert us.

These guys were easy enough that I could probably have easily sent them away but I though it was kinda funny.....
They show up to teach us and they get taught all about Aquaponics.
I'm spreading the word!!!!!!!

That is what I would call a natural rat trap, it is just unfortunate that the can be dangerous to people and pets.

Don't worry, have it covered. This one was caught shortly after the rattler was killed. He was released higher up in the rocks, hopefully find a nice rattler to munch on.
Nearly gave my fiance a heart attack though- he was prepping a new flower bed next to where we had taken the dirt out for my ponds and he was opening bags of mulch to mix in with the dirt. The snake was inside the bag and was shook out at my fiance's feet!!!!!

I hate mice more then I fear rattle snakes, I worry that my kids might try and mess with one though. They seem to hang out near my rabbits, probably after the mice that eat the spilled rabbit food?
