vb, I went into the local aqua store and bought there largest net, 8" I think - probably don't need anything too big as I would only be moving a few at a time or trying to catch an edible size one that won't take the hook (that's still way in the future).

Used it once so far to move the goldies out of the big tank :wink:

This one has a very fine net, used it today to skim the top of the tanks and stirred up the bottom - picked up all the fine grit etc........

I know the type Les - I have bad experiences with them where the fhish get caught up in the net because fin spikes or whatever have penetrated the netting.

Well, it's been a year, and this year we ARE having aquaponically grown fish for Christmas lunch :wav: Axl will get up early in the morning :lol: and fillet some yummy jade perch for lunch.

I'm tempted to do the same Jaymie, with the six sitting in the purge tank right now. But with 21 over for Xmas, I'll selfishly keep them for a time when they can be enjoyed by connoisseurs of fine food ;-)

I've got 4 or 5 silvers that would have to be at least 2 kilos each I reckon, but I'm not willing to kill them..... Not yet anyway..... :)
