Im not sure where to put this so i guess here will do.

The link explains itself but for the people with a clicking phobia its a guy who has made a website for basically DIYing your own bore.
I think its pretty cool. Im thinking im going to have a try at my mums place as shes been wanting a bore for years and couldnt afford to get a bloke in.

I think Duff may have posted this a while back.. I know there was a fair bit of discussion a while back about ways of drilling your own well, dunno if anyone did it though..

typical of me no using the search function... lol

When i was watching it i instantly remember getting the garden hose stuck in the ground doing something similar as a kid... I think i might have managed to get the hose in about 2 metres tho.

Im definately going to try this at my old girls you only need to get down 15 metres to get good water there.

The local irrigation / pump store here sells a special spear point water drilling thingy, less than $20 from memory.
