... Just to put it out there ...

I have noticed one thing in common when you meet a fellow AP'ist who lives nearby - you always find yourself saying "I'll show you mine if you show me yours"!

True?!

Has anyone in Perth thought of having a travelling Aquaponic Garden Tour Afternoon?

I know the Koi Society of Western Australia will hold occasionally hold afternoons, where a bunch of people will car/bus/plane/train from one society members house to the next - kind of like a show and tell - where folk can show off their system and give and receive advice from fellow enthusiasts. Once their Koi setup has been ooo'ed and aahhh'ed over, they move onto the next garden, and in between are afforded food and libations!

If it were to happen, it could be organised that the afternoon tour would take in 3 - 5 gardens, travelling en-masse from one member’s house to the next, looking over their systems, setups and idiosyncrasies that make each system unique.

Think of it - meeting likeminded folk, sharing information and ideas, making new friends, have a couple of beers and a BBQ - but most importantly - a chance to see who has the best system!

I know most folk are proud of their system and would only be too happy to tell the story about how it came to be.

The Ellenbrook AP'ers do something pretty much along these lines - but I'm thinking it could be expanded to take in a larger demographic!

Whaddya think? Any keen folk?

Maybe you haven't seen this ?

It was just my little scoff at the tripe on their website. And I dont doubt that the nitrogen cycle image is

AND IVAN! You definitely have a system worthy of inspection, admiration and fanfare!!!!! All three of them, in fact!

You'd be up for an open garden visit, eh?

BT, sorry not just yet. Still working on finishing it off. Have been really busy at work and don't have too much time to progress my expansion. Although these days it is getting too hot to work outside..
