Another forum that I visit has a very active photography forum, so I though I might make a photo thread here for your favourite holiday / family photo. A short description of the scene may be helpfull for other members to get a feel for the photo.

First proper family holiday, Aug 2006, Tasmania, Victoria, and Darwin in a 3 week period. Favourite photo, 3 hour drive through extremely twisty roads from Hobart to Queenstown, awesome scenery. Hillside vegetation killed from the mining by products.



Makes me want to go back

Rottnest Island a few months back, with 4 other families all with 7YO daughters (the mothers group friends). We left our 7YO with another mother (Lisa) and came back to this note. For those not familiar with Rotto, the pub has a beer garden about 20m from the beach so the kiddies can swim while parents partake in amber beverages. For the record she can spell her name (Scotia) but this is attempt and her preferred version, phonetically sko-shee

Well , as I said I can't post pics in this forumof my favourite holidays,.....,but I do very much enjoy relaxingon my acres in North East Thailand so here's a pic of us all netting out one of my lakes,,,hard to co-ordinate when only two of us speak English:)

Wewherejust clearing out excess ilapia ,,THEN suddenly one of the Thai's is YELLING,,,I understand most Thai swear words and it translated into F**ing big fish.
we got it ,,,it weighed just over 25 Kilo. Nice surprise.

What was the fish fish Chappo...

I believe it is known in English as a Mekong catfish. Called "Blah Buuk" in Thai language ,, good eating even at large size. We sold this one as we already had plenty of fish and a suckling pig roasting on the open fire BBQ.
