Went down to the beach after work today, beautiful still afternoon on a deserted beach watching the sun slowly sink into the ocean with a magnificent red sunset. Hardly time to look at the scenery though, I was there for an hour and a half and caught 14 herring. They didn't stop biting from the first cast, and in the end I left because it was getting dark, and besides I had enough fish, even though they were still biting..



Herring are great fun on a light rod with light line.



p.s. I managed to include the dogs toes as well in this picture, he was rather keen to get his share of fresh fish.

I see even the dog got his toes in.
