Thanks Iceman, thought you might chime in. Should I burley the area? If so what do they like? |

burley isn't really essential but can be handy. bread crumbs with some tuna oil works well |

I've caught mullet on bread, usually burley up a fair bit which attracts the herd and throw the line out with a float

When they run just throw a line in front no problems. Love fresh mullet, use to bring barra fillets from Darwin for my parents and all I wanted was mullet. |

Deffinetly eat as fresh as possible and be sure to scrape all the black stuff out of the insides after gutting. Flour and fry in butter Dunno how many of these I caught as a kid on holidays at Port Fairy. Caught them at sun up and had them for breakfast |
