The KGW should be making an appearance in the Cut about now, guess I'll know by the number of pensioners hooking up worms at the Jolly Frog jetty when I get down |

I got some herring and a couple of BIG bites (salmon or big tailor) here in the middle of the day.. Attachment: Capture12.JPG [ 51.22 KiB | Viewed 15620 times ] Interesting beach on the north side there, some unusual currents stiring things up. |

Cheers EB, I've heard whispers of some salmon running past the mouth, not that I'd know what to do with one to prepare it... I take it you have to bleed them out straight away? Looks like I'll be packing the 12 footer too |

Tried for some squid at the old bridge last night to discover people plucking crabs from the surface of the outgoing tide. Gonna get me some of that tonight |

With the salmon you have 2 choices. Take a pic of them and put them back where you found them, or give them to someone you don't like and go to the fishmonger and buy some fish to eat. John |

Hey guys, from memory that North-facing beach in Halls Head is a non-fishing zone/"swimming beach". The reason I know is my parents live there and I always wonder about casting a line, catching a feed, crossing the road and cooking up the fresh fish - much like aquaponics |
