Just received a letter from Fisheries some of which is shown below. Unfortunately its incidents like these that are going to make it even harder to get access to other species of fish in the future.

Bugger..... There have been a lot of places east of Perth with silvers in dams... |

read that in the local rag, from what I understood there have been silver perch in dams all over wa for a long time? Could it be with all the rain one jumped ship?? |

Yeah thats the most likely scenario, gone over a dam wall somewhere and then come down the Avon and into the Swan. |

Good luck to them, they don't realise how good they had it before escaping into that cestpool. I took my two year old down to Matilda Bay for a swim last week and it was disgusting with algae washing up on the brown sand and dead/dying blowies floating everywere... back to Hillarys with the lil man |

Yeah I agree JackF, its a filthy system, not as bad as some but its far from clean! We went down to the river on xmas day, sure enough dead fish floating up guildford way. |
