Very nice, well done! Coral trout is amazing, my favourite eating fish.

Pete, the one in the middle...you've got nooo idea.
Just joking he's pretty good just sticking to the "putting kids in picture to make fish bigger" idea
It's the first trout I've caught in years, so very happy (although been in the boat when others have).

Got to go out again on Sat and improved on my previous best. Loving this part of the country now considering I'd never caught a Dhufish till this year.

Sure I Charlie. Both are endangered. And large fish like that produce thousands more offspring than smaller juveniles. I would
Like to see upper caps on fish size too. If you do t believe me I will post some info when I get on my computer at work

Yeah, I always thought an upper size limit of some fish species would be the go.. I see they have started doing this with some species.

Sorry to offend.I too agree with 'oversize fish' rules. We used to comply on a regular basis with Barra up north, to the extent of a lot more than most would ( regulary putting back sized fish).
Obviously I forgot to mention the 4 sized Dui's, 2 trout and 3 bluebone that we threw back, not to mention the grey nurse shark!
Also should probably mention ( although quietly to my mates) that this fish does look bigger in the photo. It went under 10 kg and I've seen plenty of fish bigger than that up here!
By the way how do you get the smilies into the text.Computers aren't my forte
