Hey guys im chasing some tips... and all your secrets. haha

Im heading out to the north mole tomorrow night to throw a line in and i have only fished south mole and that was 10 years ago at least.

wheres the good spots on the mole?
what bait?
how are you setting up your rigs?

i have a boat rod and an ugly stick and some basic gear (i usually stick to the river and jettys etc) and normally set up a basic swivel with hook off one side sinker off the other (i have no idea of the lingo)
i read that glowies are pretty handy too

any ideas?

Good luck on the mole... I've fished there off and on for a few years now, more off than on.. Went through a phase of herring / gardie fishing there for a while with only moderate success. I was using maggots and burley and the guy next to me was catching, but I didn;t get a thing.. He gave me some of his burley when he was leaving, said that was the secret. And it was, I started catching them.,..

Fish and chip shop waste in his burley seemed to be the trick, but you also had to have the maggots.. Bloody fussy things they were....

I had some good trips down at Kwinana jetty last year, both day and evening (before my mate got a boat).. Interesting watching all the fish in the water under the jetty lights too..

what are you chasing?
as earthbound above for small stuff
you could throw out a live bait or fillet on gangs for something bigger
there is squid there at times
I've also seen guys using sea cabbage and burley to catch big 5kg buff bream

ill go after whatever bites.

Had a mate tell me today to go down with a burley sinker and some squid or prawn and i should be sweet.

I have an old old old bag of oily burley sitting in my deep freeze that may have had a maggot or two in that's coming out for a play i think.
