Tried yet another lake today but it only had small yabbies so went back to last weeks lake and we did good. They were more plentiful than last week with some really good sized ones
Even got the eldest daughter to come with me , shock horror
Ended up with a large Tupperware container full of peel tails

The weather here has done some serious water damage to all the bush tracks around here so its put the adventures off for now.

Just got back from a 4 day fishing trip on a property on Billabond Creek in NSW. On the second day we found a shallow dam way out in one of the paddocks. Great find as you can see
Several of the yabbies were 30cm long. We cooked them and let them cool for 15mins then just sat around the tub and ate till they were gone

Got the boat and nets sorted and went back to favourite lake. There still loads in there. I ripped around my ten nets three times without pausing to let them fill properly, but still got heaps. I was in a rush cause I wanted to check out another couple of lakes in the area
Garlic yabbies for tea tonight :D
