Went to a trout and salmon farm at Eildon today. We caught and bought 9 small rainbows and 3 atlantic salmon over 1kg each. The women had fun and I just ran around putting bait on hooks and casting out for the youngest. I did manage to catch one trout and one salmon.
The wife was happy cause she caught the biggest one

She only caught that one after we were at the salmon pond for ages with no touches. I decided to roll up balls of bait and toss them in around my float, and minutes later fish. I pulled it in and when i turned arount she had flogged my spot. I gave up then and just berlied up around the kids floats, but the missus got two more. Kids were pissed, missus happy, win win :D

That's awesome! Every family should go fishing. Especially at a fish farm. I let my kids fish in my catfish ponds when small. Now they get bored if not catching fish right away.
