hi im growing strawberrys in a 90mm pvc pipe in mesh pots using the water out of another gb constantly flooding all day and letting drain over night.

Runing constant flooded grow beds you will probley getting fish waste by passing the filtration resulting it sticking to the roots

I know with capsicums if the roots are blackened then it is an IRON deficiency possibly the same with strawberries

It could be root rot too. Mine are in a tower trickle system. They get water for 10 minutes every 1.5 hours. Plus it shuts off at night.
