So to this wonderful forum, filled with a wealth of informative knowledge....where can I find a list of different varieties that will grow in South Oz either aquapinicor wicking beds or dare I say the NFT or even vertical grow tubes. |

The sweet Albion strawberry has put South Australia on the map. It’s renowned for its fullness of colour and outstanding sweet flavour. The Albion variety was developed by the University of California. Ideal temperatures around mid-twenties to thirty degrees Celsius, plenty of water, control of disease pressure such as mite and thrips and a pretty scientific fertiliser programme are key to healthy plants and the best fruit. http://www.strawberriesaustralia.com.au/ Varieties of Strawberries grown in Australia: Millewa Lowanna Kiewa Kalinda Bunyarra Adina Tallara Festival Rubygem |

No worries joblow. They seem reasonably salt tolerant too. |

I like the red ones the best Yes some are salt tolerent but what happeng if you need to salt your system In my last system i had strawberry in a tower and one plant had over 30 fruit on it but only for 1 year then salt eventually got them Straight hydroponics is the way to go |

Yeah if you needed to salt to 5-6 ppt I reckon most strawberries will keel over after a while. I try to keep my system water well under that. |
