I set up my system in July 2010 which consists of a 3000 lt. pond and three grow beds purchased from back yard Aquaponics. In July 2010 I purchased 50 trout which were 100mm in length and these were harvested in December when the water temp was getting to hot at 230mm in length. I then purchased 20 baramundi in sizes around 230mm, these had grown to 330 to 380mm by the end of last month when I had to harvest most of them as the temp was getting to cold. I still have a few in an old aquarium I was not using which I will be feasting on over the next week. This month I found it very difficult to get fish and had to settle with a few Koi and 70 fingerling Silver Perch. Last weekend I lost 5 of the SP over two day and I believe the water may have been to cold. I will transfer these into the aquarium once the bara are out till the water temp warms up again.
I am still experimenting with the plants and I am getting reasonable results.

Welcome Croz

Sounds like you've got your system up and running well !

Yeah, definitely a tough year to find fish.

Looking forward to see your photos. Did you get BYAP to set it up or did you do it yourself ?
