Have dabbeld with legit hydroponics for years but never really happy with results or expense. Saw aquaponics at Adelaide show last year and we talked about too long.
Is this a hobby or an addictive habit? Iam thinking the latter.

There seems to be some big $$$ involved in setting up does it eventually pay off?

Freaked out at the moment about what we might be getting into here but through the map have contacted 3 guys in Adelaide who are willing to show their systems off Thanks guys.

G'day Tons
:wave1: welcome on board
that depends completly on you you can build out of 44gal drums or an old fish tank for next to no $
or you can build out of large tanks and grow beds for $$$$$$$$$$$$ the sky's the limit
but start small and the adiction will get you and then there is no limit

It depends on your expectations and to how much you want to spend, if you have the time to source materials and build most of a system yourself you can do it reasonably cheap, if you want to save time you spend the money and buy a manufactured system.

Brilliant idea, have a look at the systems and ask all the big questions, it will give you better ideas on what to expect :D

But remember you get what you pay for :thumbright: so IMO don't cut yourself short on the important bits- especially pimps!

Hi Tonz
I'm happy to also show you my system if you're ever in town. I'm ex-Port Lincoln. There have been a couple of Lincolnites briefly on the forum but I dont know if they ever got up and running.
