Can't believe I've remembered my password! Well it's been awhile, but finally have a tank (1000lt white cubed thingy) and now looking for a suitable pump. After 6 - 7 years in the planning the end is almost in sight |

Mr Joel & Rupert I've lurked a little over the years .... keeping an eye on you all Just the number of new members who have said hello in the short time since I popped my head back in is amazing! You must be doing something right. Has been a few life changing events over the last few years here, all good ones though! Got all excited over the last couple of days and used the rain to fill what will be the fish tank (gravity feeding from a small water tank). Not quite the ideal set up as grow bed to fish tank ratio is .4 to 1 so either a lot fewer fish or drain some water out. Haven't decided yet. Though am leaning towards more water less fish, just feel the fish would prefer more depth. Found some pumps in Ebay .... will go cheaper ones to start, and build from there if that's how we want to go. The plan is to have a system, of sorts, up and running, with feeder fish, by the end of the month. Have re-read the book and watched the dvd (first time in god knows how long) .... and busily hunting through the forum trying to find all the tricks and tips. Of course learning them the hard way would be more fun Anyways I must be off and cut a 200lt drum in half .... sump tank! Can't say I'll be too regular here, but shall try not to become too big a snob :p |
