hello i am very new to this but i have fish, i am a bait dist. in the warm months i can hold up to 1000 pounds or 455kg of golden orbes......or common shinners, i also am a truck farmer at the local market.
i am about to move the "shed" to my home, and i thought once i get it up and running i can add the other half to the puzzle. my system would be around 10-15,000 gal. of tanks.

10,000 gallons might be big enough to start, I guess if you want to start small...

Bloody hell! That's alot. You have any more of those tanks around you haven't got a use for? I'm in the market.

i am a fish dealer, in the spring i have ~1000 pounds of fish dropped into my tanks about twice a week.
i use a bio system to clean the water up, i also truck farm veggies at my local market that i ground grow.
nobody sells lettuce there.....what is the crop best serverd in a grow tank? all i need is to add grow tanks and i get crops with the added bonus of clean fish water and single person selling lettuce....i just see win win win. am i wrong? i homestead a little over 6 acres and raise sheep,goats,ducks,turkeys,chickens,eggs,organic produce, and process deer.
i am so thrilled to be here....another way to squeeze a buck off a low carbon foot print

Really sounds like you're in the right place! I would say use the plants to help clean your water, keep the regular baitfish business going as it is now and it would add value.

Leafy vegetables grow fastest, but others can grow well too in flood and drain gravel beds so you're not limited to just lettuce and basil.

i am a bait fish dealer, i have tanks and fish running on bio as we type....lots of fish water...lots.
i also run a commercial worm farm http://www.earlybirdworms.com/index.htm thats how i broke into the bait biz. i produce 20 tonnes of worm castings per season...so i can garden.
i run a very large "organic" type garden what can't be used on site is sold at the local farmers market.
i homestead off 6.25 acres i keep sheep ,goats,breed commercial meat rabbits, muscovy ducks, chickens ,eggs and poultry both.
i run a deer processing biz during the hunting season. we processed 115 this past season.
i am very uneducated never finished school, but i am one of the smartest people i know...and really good looking too
