great site, I'm sure I'll learn a lot in my new hobby of aquaculture by reading the abundance of info provided here. my current and first system has been cycling for a about a week now(kicked it off with 5 gals of pond water and humonia), It includes a 9oo gal ft(flooding about 95 gals) with 12 half barrel grow beds using lava rock and gravel as a media enclosed in a 14 x 24 foot green house.
It has been very interesting tuning the system to flow just right but with patience all things are possible. sorry no pictures I'm digitaly callenged. hsm:

sounds like an interesting system, how do you adjust the flow rates to all the barrels, do you have a tap before each barrel?

It's going very well so far, I manage flow from my dump barrel with two ball valves split to 5 half barrels on each side with 1/4 in or less drain holes.
I'm having my niece take some pictures and try to upload them tomorrow,we shall see how that go's.
