G'day to all fellow forum members. Yes, another Perth boy has been bitten and infected by the Aquaponics bug. Feels good too. I've had a casual interest in 'fish farming' for some time, knowing the state of our local wild fish stocks. I'm sure it is the answer to food production and re-stocking. My young family also has a keen interest in the 'ol veggie patch. So when I heard about the idea of Aquaponics, about the time of the Perth show last year, I just had to know more. And thus found the BYAP site and this forum. Must say I read quite a bit those first few days. Since then I've continued to read many posts and the BYAP magazines. But most importantly I've set up a 'test' system to get some first-hand practical knowledge of this cool new technology. Four months after filling up my 500L pond, plant growth is picking up, fish are growing up and I've learnt plenty. There really is no substitute for doing! Onward and upward. Pete

Thanks for the warm welcome. Much appreciated. I've started a Members System thread which I hope to maintain at least reasonably regularly. Enjoy, Pete AquaPete's Sandpit System |
