Hey all,

New to the forum here, semi-new to aquaponics. I've had fish for years and have been growing hydroponically for about six months so Aquaculture seemed to be a perfect fit for me. I currently live in a 500 square foot apartment in central Austin with two bearded dragons (housed in a 100 gallon and a 75 gallon terrarium), a fully-stocked 29 gallon aquarium, a 20 gallon frog terrarium, a 10 gallon newt terrarium, a 2.5 gallon betta tank, and this:

It is small but within the next six to seven months I will be buying a house so I will be looking to build much a larger system. Also I will be looking to grow produce commercially in the near future.

Looking forward to the information available here and hoping to contribute if possible.

In the mean time, do lots of reading. Since you keep fish you already have a handle on some of it but the Basic Info and Useful Info sections of the forum are a pretty good read to do completely.

Then pick a few big long member system threads to read completely which should give you an opportunity to see some mistakes and perhaps avoid them for yourself.

Beware small tubing as clogging is common though I'm sure you have dealt with that before. With your tower there, it looks well situated to cause wet floor if there are any clogs though.

Welcome, there is no escape now

p.s. as you figure out what you think you might try, let us know as we might be able to point you to member system threads that might be similar and show the pros/cons of such a system and what challenges need to be overcome in whatever type system you might choose.
